On June 16, 2005, a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment charging defendant, Al J. Craig, with second degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. Defendant pled not guilty at his arraignment on the following day. The court ordered a competency hearing and thereafter found defendant competent to stand trial. The court also conducted a hearing on defendant's motion to suppress statement and motion to suppress identifications...
