The defendant, Lavern Lee Hampton, was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to serve the mandatory sentence of life in prison without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The defendant has appealed, arguing that the evidence is insufficient to support the conviction. For the following reasons, we affirm the defendant's conviction and sentence.
