On April 12, 2006, the St. Landry Parish District Attorney charged Defendant, Damien Orbro, with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and with one count of second degree kidnapping. On July 29, 2010, Defendant was convicted of second degree kidnapping, in violation of La.R.S. 14:44.1. Thereafter, the sentencing court ordered Defendant to serve five years at hard labor; designated that the first two years would be served without benefit of probation...
