Defendant, James Lyndal Foster, was tried and convicted of possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) on November 5, 2009. He was sentenced to five years at hard labor. Through counsel and pro se briefs, he contends the trial court erred in denying his motions for continuance or mistrial, to suppress, and for new trial, and he claims ineffective assistance of counsel.
