The State of Louisiana (state) charged the defendant, R.B., by grand jury indictment, with four counts of sexual battery, violations of La.R.S. 14:43.1; four counts of molestation of a juvenile, violations of La.R.S. 14:81.2; and four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, violations of La.R.S. 14:81. After a bench trial, the trial court acquitted the defendant of the four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile but convicted him of the remaining...
