The Jefferson Parish District Attorney charged defendant, Darnell Hunter, with obscenity, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:106. Defendant pled not guilty at arraignment. Defendant was tried by a six-person jury on May 5, 2010, and the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged. On May 13, 2010, the trial court sentenced defendant to three years at hard labor, to run consecutively to the term he was currently serving in juvenile detention....
