Arthur James Handy was charged with possession of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), a violation of La.R.S. 40:966. He was also charged as a habitual offender. Handy pled guilty pursuant to State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La.1976). The trial court adjudicated Handy a third felony offender and sentenced him to life imprisonment without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence...
