On July 26, 2006, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Nicholas V. Tranchant, with attempted aggravated rape upon an adult female in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and LSA-R.S. 14:42, and aggravated burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:60. At the July 27, 2006 arraignment, defendant pled not guilty.
