The defendant, Joseph M. Breaux, was charged by a grand jury indictment with armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:26. Following a jury trial, he was convicted as charged. He was adjudicated a fourth felony offender and was sentenced to serve life in prison, without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence on both charges.
