This writ of supervisory review arises from the Sixth Judicial District Court, East Carroll Parish, Louisiana. Joe A. Davis was convicted of misdemeanor simple battery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:35, and sentenced to 60 days in the parish jail. The defendant now seeks review of his conviction and sentence, which, for the following reasons, we affirm.
