The defendant, Russell J. Beauchamp, Jr., was charged by bill of information with one count of distribution of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967 A(1), and entered a plea of not guilty. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged by unanimous verdict.
