McDONALD, J.

The defendant, Stephen H. McMillan, was charged by bill of information with one count of vehicular homicide, a violation of La. R.S. 14:32.1(A)(1) & (2), and pled not guilty. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty as charged. He was fined $15,000, and sentenced to twenty-five years at hard labor, with twenty years of the sentence without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.1 He moved for reconsideration...
