Defendant/appellant, Jamarcus Fowler ("Fowler"), brings this appeal from a guilty plea on two counts of aggravated battery in violation of La. R.S. 14:34 and the resulting sentences of ten years at hard labor on each count to run concurrently. For reasons that follow, we affirm both the convictions and sentences, and we grant defense counsel's motion to withdraw.
