Plaintiff/appellant, Kevin Hopel ("Hopel"), appeals a judgment of the Office of Workers' Compensation that granted an Exception of Lack of Subject Matter Jurisdiction. Hopel filed a claim for compensation in Jefferson Parish, alleging that he was injured in the course and scope of his employment with Crescent Directional Drilling, L.P. ("Crescent"). Crescent is domiciled in Houston, Texas. Hopel is a resident of Jefferson Parish.
