WILLIAMS, J.

The defendant, Leonard Vance, Jr., was charged by bill of information with two counts of aggravated second degree battery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34.7. In accordance with a plea bargain, he pled guilty to one count of aggravated battery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34. The defendant was sentenced to serve seven years in prison at hard labor. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the defendant's conviction and sentence.
