On February 7, 2008, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Joseph D. Dee, with possession with intent to distribute heroin in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(A). At the March 20, 2008 arraignment, defendant pled not guilty. Thereafter, on June 23, 2008, the trial judge heard and denied defendant's motions to suppress evidence and statements.
