The defendant, Charles Oliver Burns, was charged by bill of information with two counts of simple burglary, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62, and one count of attempted simple burglary, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62 and 14:27. Following a jury trial, he was convicted of one count of simple burglary and two counts of attempted simple burglary.
