This matter arises from an attorney fee dispute following a judgment granting damages of $20,000 and attorney fees of $5,000 to the plaintiff, Sandra Dowles, in her suit for wrongful discharge against ConAgra, Inc. (now Pilgrim's Pride Corporation). The plaintiff had a contingent fee contract with her former attorney, Johnnie A. Jones, Sr., for 40 percent of her recovery. The present dispute arose when Mr. Jones sought to keep the $5,000 attorney fee award...
