STATEMENT OF THE CASE

The defendant, Lawrence S. Davis, was arrested on December 4, 2004 and was charged by a bill of information on December 29, 2004, with one count of possession of crack cocaine in violation of La. R.S. 40:967(C)(2). On January 5, 2005, he appeared before the district court and entered a plea of not guilty. On February 16, 2005, pursuant to motion hearings the district court denied the defendant's motion to suppress evidence...
