Following a jury trial, defendant, Mark Anthony Wiggins, was convicted of second degree robbery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:64.4. Subsequently, he was adjudicated a third-felony offender and sentenced to life imprisonment without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
