DREW, J.

Karen Laws appeals a "Ruling on Motion for Change of Minor's Surname" which authorized Robert Hale, the father of her minor son, "to take additional necessary legal steps to change" the son's surname from Laws to Hale. The contested ruling was signed on September 8, 2008, and filed in the trial court record the following day. We affirm.
