The redistricting of the parish into election districts for the election of police jurors in 2002 caused this dispute over the continuing effect of a prior local option election which had prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages. Plaintiff attempted to apply for a permit to sell alcohol for its business that is located in a new election district.
