Johnny Williams was charged with aggravated rape, in violation of La. R.S. 14:42, aggravated kidnapping, in violation of La. R.S. 14:44, and false imprisonment while armed with a dangerous weapon, in violation of La. R.S. 14:46.1. The state dismissed the aggravated kidnapping charge and the remaining two matters were tried before a jury which convicted Williams as charged. The court sentenced Williams to mandatory life imprisonment for the aggravated rape...
