Defendant, Tarome Antonio Harris, was charged by bill of information with aggravated escape, in violation of La. R.S. 14:110(C)(1), and two counts of aggravated battery, in violation of La. R.S. 14:34. After a jury trial, Defendant was found guilty as charged of aggravated escape; and, with regard to the charges of aggravated battery, Defendant was found guilty of two counts of second degree battery.
