The defendant, Kenny Wayne Collins, was convicted by a jury of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, attempted sexual battery, and attempted possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was sentenced to three years at hard labor for the unauthorized entry conviction; four years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole or suspension for the attempted sexual battery conviction; and ten years at hard labor, with credit for time served...
