CARAWAY, J.

Aaron McKinney was convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. He was sentenced to serve 10 years at hard labor without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence and to pay a fine of $1,000. The defendant now appeals. The defendant's conviction and sentence are affirmed.
