Hicks, was charged by bill of information with distribution of a Schedule III controlled dangerous substance, hydrocodone, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:968(A), and distribution of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, methamphetamine, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967. Pursuant to a plea agreement, the defendant pled guilty as charged to one count of distribution of a Schedule III CDS and the state dismissed the charge of distribution...
