In this retaliatory discharge case, Jada Hansford filed suit against St. Francis Medical Center, Inc. ("St. Francis") seeking civil penalties and attorney fees for wrongful termination pursuant to La. R.S. 23:1361. Finding that Ms. Hansford failed to carry her burden of proof pursuant to the statute for wrongful termination, the trial court ruled in favor of St. Francis dismissing Ms. Hansford's case with prejudice...
