The Defendant, Arthur Hicks, appeals from his conviction of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1. We affirm and remand for corrective action.

The Defendant was charged by a bill of information with the offense on February 1, 2006. He subsequently pled not guilty, and filed pre-trial motions to suppress the evidence and statements. The trial judge denied the motions, and on March 17, 2007, he waived...
