On June 24, 2005, the State charged the defendant with armed robbery in violation of La. R.S. 14:64. After a verdict of guilty as charged, the trial judge sentenced the defendant to thirty-five years imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The trial judge also imposed an additional five years imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole...
