On May 7, 2007, the defendant, Karen A. Lala, was charged by a bill of information with possession of cocaine. She pled not guilty at arraignment. A hearing on defense motions was held on July 11, 2007, at which the trial court denied defendant's motion to suppress the evidence and found probable cause.
