This litigation arises from an incident wherein Kasie Crawford, the minor daughter of Tonya Ardoin DeLafosse, sustained injuries when she was struck in the head by a baseball. Ms. DeLafosse, individually and on behalf of her minor daughter, brought suit against the Village of Pine Prairie (Pine Prairie) to recover the damages sustained.
