The Defendant, Percy Jones, appeals from the trial judge ruling finding him to be a fourth felony offender, and his enhanced sentence. We vacate and remand for further proceedings.

In December of 2007, the Defendant was convicted by a jury of illegal possession of a stolen vehicle valued at more than $500, in violation of La.R.S. 14:69. He was subsequently sentenced to ten years at hard labor with credit for time served. The Defendant...
