The defendant, Sylvester Brown, was convicted of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(A)(1). He was sentenced to 25 years at hard labor, to run consecutive to any other sentences the defendant is obligated to serve. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and fees, in default of which he was sentenced to serve 120 days in the parish jail. For the following reasons, we affirm the defendant's conviction.
