N.W.L., a juvenile, was charged by Petition for Delinquency with aggravated burglary, a violation of La.R.S. 14:60. At his initial hearing, N.W.L. entered a denial. On December 20, 2007, an adjudication hearing took place, and N.W.L. was adjudged delinquent. Following a disposition hearing on January 24, 2008, the trial court ordered that N.W.L. be placed into the custody of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections (Office of Youth
