Daniel Pinkhasov appeals from two orders of the Jefferson Circuit Court, Family Court Division, holding that he and Anna Petocz had entered into a legally valid de facto marriage on July 10, 2005. The trial court found "no statutes relating to marriage that would indicate that the legislature intended that the validity of a marriage is conditioned on applying for, obtaining, signing, or filing a certificate of marriage...
