Mark Anthony Baker repeatedly abused and then murdered a 19-month-old infant who was in his care. He pled guilty to felony murder, child abuse, possession of marijuana, and obstruction of official duty. The Kansas Supreme Court affirmed his convictions and sentence on appeal. State v. Baker, 297 Kan. 482
