Kevin Frost pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child in violation of K.S.A.2010 Supp. 21-3504(a)(3)(A). The trial court sentenced Frost to life imprisonment with a mandatory minimum term of 25 years (hard 25) under K.S.A.2010 Supp. 21-4643(a)(1)(C). On direct appeal, Frost's principal argument is that his hard 25 life sentence constitutes cruel and unusual punishment under the United States Constitution. There is no merit...
