The dates of the offenses fall on both sides of the date upon which K.S.A. 2006 Supp. 21-4643, known as Jessica's Law, became effective; consequently, he was sentenced to 61 months, the high end of the Kansas sentencing guidelines grid box, on one count, and to life with a hard...
