This case is the third in a series of appeals by codefendants involved in the June 2006 killing of David Owen, an advocate for the homeless. For the contributions by Charles Lloyd Hollingsworth, III, he was convicted of felony murder and kidnapping. Our jurisdiction of his direct appeal is under K.S.A. 22-3601(b)(1), conviction of an off-grid crime.
