In 1994, Ronald J. Peirano entered a plea of guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder following the shooting deaths of his two daughters and his threat to shoot his wife.

On January 23, 1995, the district court sentenced him to two concurrent life terms without parole eligibility for the first 40 years for the first two counts and a consecutive term of 49...
