¶ 1 In March 2012, defendant, Shamere Douglas, filed a pro se petition for relief pursuant to the Post-Conviction Hearing Act (725 ILCS 5/122-1 to 122-8 (West 2010)). On June 5, 2012, the trial court summarily dismissed defendant's petition, finding the claims raised by Douglas were frivolous and without merit.
