Justice HUDSON delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 Plaintiff, Charles L. St. Martin, appeals the trial court's summary judgment for defendant, First Hospitality Group, Inc. Plaintiff alleged that he was injured when he tripped and fell on an uneven portion of sidewalk outside of a hotel owned by defendant. The trial court determined that defendant did not owe plaintiff a duty of care, because the defect was de minimis....
