JUSTICE McLAREN delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 Defendant, Jose J. Rivera, appeals from the dismissal of his petition filed under the Post-Conviction Hearing Act (Act) (725 ILCS 5/122-1 et seq. (West 2010)). We affirm.
