¶ 1 The narrow issue in this case is whether a police officer violated the fourth amendment when, after stopping a van solely because it was registered to a woman with an outstanding arrest warrant, he asked the male driver for a driver's license. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the judgment of the appellate court, which affirmed the circuit court of Whiteside County's decision...
