¶ 1 Following a jury trial, defendant, Chappel Craigen, was convicted of first-degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9-1(a)(2) (West 2006)) for the shooting death of Jimmie Lewis, Jr., in Waukegan, Illinois, on October 18, 2007.
