¶ 1 The plaintiffs-appellees are nine Chicago firefighters who brought action against the defendant-appellant, Federal Signal Corporation (Federal Signal), claiming that the Federal Signal sirens on Chicago Fire Department trucks are unreasonably dangerous and defective because the sirens exposed the firefighters to excessive noise.
