¶ 1 Defendant, Macario Pena-Romero, appeals from the denial of his motion to withdraw his guilty plea. Defendant argues (1) he was denied effective assistance of guilty-plea counsel, (2) he was denied effective assistance of postplea counsel, (3) the circuit clerk lacked authority to assess the $5 anticrime fee, (4) he is entitled to credit against the $4.75 drug-court assessment...
