¶ 1 Following a bench trial, defendant Orlando Lewis was found guilty of the second degree murder of Robert Thompkins and sentenced to 18 years' imprisonment. On appeal, defendant contends that the State failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did not act in self-defense when Thompkins walked toward him after defendant displayed a gun.
