Justice ROCHFORD delivered the judgment of the court, with opinion.

¶ 1 On September 30, 2011, the trial court found nine-month old Juan M. to be: (1) physically abused; (2) abused due to a substantial risk of physical injury; and (3) neglected due to an injurious environment, pursuant to the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 (hereinafter, the Act) (705 ILCS 405/2-3(2)(i), (2)(ii), (1)(b) (West 2010)).
